We’re here to taste the food with Sundeep kishan bro. Yes, hi bro, how are you? I’m fine, how are you? All good? Everything is going superbly thank you bro and were really eager to taste your restaurant’s food with you.

Tell us about your place. Our place’s name is Vivaha Bhojanambu which itself is inspired from cinema. There was a song in tamil called “kalyana samayal sadham” right? the telugu version lyric is “Vivaha Bhojanambu” Okay..

So this is a authentic Andhra, Telangana cuisine. So when you say biryani and Hyderabad, there’s a misconception saying it’s dum biryani. But that’s not it. The specialty here is that there’s pickle biryani. There’ll be shrimp pickle biryani.

There’s also something here called the MLA potlam biryani, which rice is wrapped by omelette. So it’s a more of a authentic Andhra, Telangana cuisine. We have these Madurai Vilas with madurai cuisine.. and Trichy has it’s own cuisine, similarly this hotel has all the cuisines of Andhra and Telangana.

So at the moment we’re known for that specialty. and it’s doing really well for that. Awesome.. I can’t wait to try this. So we’re going in with bro to taste the food here. You would have seen him in Managaram movie but he’s very busy here in Telugu. If you’re watching telugu movies you already know him and he’s also been in tamil films.

So I’m very happy to meet you today and also I’m eager to eat with you now. -Let’s go in? -Yeah. We’ll head upstairs and basically this is the lower, ground area. So if you turn around you’ll see the Vivaha Bhojanambu Image.

It’s the same visual we see in kalyana samayal saadham movie. So we’re inspired from that and made a painting and have all the things relating to that here. -It’s in a 3D effect. -Yeah. Even the songs playing here will give you a authentic telugu feel.

So it will have old telugu songs, the entire restaurant has that kind of vibe. Awesome. So guys we’re upstairs now and we received all the foods. and someone has joined us now, that’s Gnanavel Raja sir with us.

Shall I call you ‘sir’ or ‘bro’ bro? -Anything is fine. I usually call him bro but as it’s a video, I called him sir. Bro tell us about this place because you’re the one who introduced me to this place. This here is… it’s been 5 years right?

Yeah it’s been 5 years. So Sundeep Kishan and his partner started this restaurant. Okay. Andhra is know for it’s meals. and when I think meals I remember Vivaha Bhojanambu. because that’s how much we enjoy the food here. Superb. and it has a celebrity owner.

Yeah for sure. Really in the recent past,whoever comes here for shooting they’ll call me first. They say I heard you’re restaurant food is superb from Gnanavel Raja sir, when can you send it?

I literally would have sent it to at least 100 people. All because he said it was great. They also make those pickles and that podi(powder) Everything will be superb and in non vegetarian, fish is the specialty here. A huge fish.

It will be great and you’ll know if you look at fish gravy, there’s no food you haven’t seen. But still.. No I’m really hungry and I just want to eat everything. So we’ll start now and bro which one should we start with?

Actually there’s my chef and partner. Yadagiri, please come. He’s the chief of our Andhra, Telangana chef’s association. and he’s our chief head chef here and he’s also our partner. So when I tried his food for the first time.. As I was born and bought up in chennai I really like the chettinad cuisine.

Even when I’m in chennai, I’ll ask brother for that. I tasted the Andhra, Telangana cuisine for the first time in his cooking. Only then I realized I’ve missed out on this food all these years. and then we became friend and then the whole idea of setting up this restaurant based on this cuisine came.

So that’s how everything happened and he’ll suggest us. What should we start with? First the snacks. Snacks.. okay. He says we’ll start with the starters. Isn’t that the fish? That’s fish, Andhra style fish. Chennuru chepa vepudu Chennuru chepa vepudu..

Chennuru chepa vepudu means the fish fry made based on chennur style. Vepudu means fry. Iguru means gravy. Pulusu means broth. This is what I was waiting for. This is actually my favourite. Is that so? This is basically chicken.. that’s boiled chicken dipped in spices.

Folded in Aloo. -We have our french fries, right? -Yeah. It’s like chicken wrapped with french fries. This is named Golconda Kodi. Golconda Kodi. As he invented it he named it interestingly. Is that so? You invited this? Superb. Golconda Kodi, we’ll take this one out. Yeah.

Shall we? Cheers It’s crispy on the top and the chicken inside is obviously soft. It’s deep fried and if we had eaten it hot, it would have been on another level. We came here late saying we’re shooting. But it’s amazing.. The best thing in veg is potato guys. They added that on top of chicken with all the spices.

Is a little tangy and it’s also spicy. Actually this is my favourite dish and it’s also favourite to all my friends. So whoever come here, doesn’t matter if they order anything less but they’ll order 10 boxes of these. Everyone will sit down with a box.

So even if it’s a movie night, this becomes the substitute for popcorn. So it’s one of my favourite dishes here. Is it warm? We can heat it up.. That’s not an issue. No that’s not an issue, don’t do anything.. I was just saying, why are you..

Vedi means he asking to heat it? -Yeah. I was just kidding around, you don’t worry about it. He regularly says that in all his videos. We regularly watch his videos, so we know what he means.

Regular viewers can even differentiate between his wow’s. Everything is ‘wow’ but there are four different varieties of ‘wow’ Yeah. This is manuguru.. Chepa Vepudu Manuguru Chepa Vepudu. Let’s eat? What fish is this?

Fish fry.. what’s the meaning of Manuguru? Chennuru meaning the town. It’s the chennur styled fish fry. Okay they’ve made it in Chennuru style. I taste mint in this. and they’ve also added a lot of coriander. and with that..

This will be the first time you’ll taste this flavour in non-veg. Yeah it’s very rare. Paneer palkatti.. in tamil. It’s the Andhra style paneer fry. I’ve never eaten so decently. I’ll just throw everything on my plate.. We could do that too. Yeah we’ll do that. That will be fun.

We’re eating very decently right? Yeah even I felt that too. Actually this looks really good.I thought it will probably be dry but he’s really wet. I can see the masala on top. Yeah it not like a paneer at all. It’s an awesome masala it’s spicy and great.

I’m eating it for the second time, that’s the important thing. Astounding. Guys this paneer is a must try. What’s the full name of this paneer dish? -Konaseema style Paneer fry. Konaseema style Paneer fry. Bro drink this.

Is that the salt? This is sweet. Guys they actually make this here and don’t buy it outside. They said they have their own place where they make it. That’s nice.

Actually brother I really love soda. My school was in KK nagar. KK nagar? -Yeah. You studied in Chennai? -Yeah. There was a canteen opposite to our school Rs.3 Chana, Rs.5 for samosa Chana. and Rs.2 soda. But this is the first time I popped the soda, they don’t allow us right.

I just did it for fun to check whether will it pop or not and it worked, it’s very exciting for me. It’s like doing something for the first time in my life, it’s satisfying. Nice. There’s bamboo chicken here and it’s smoking hot.

Gosh! it’s very hot, I can’t even touch it. That’s enough bro, thanks. This chicken is very soft and it’s a boneless chicken. Again it’s a different masala for this, this ain’t the one we already ate.

Everything here taste different, it’s completely different masalas. It’s really fun to eat. Guys red chilli. Pandu Mirchi means red chilli. Okay Pandu Mirchi. It’s a little scary to eat chilli. We eat chilli bhaji right? It’s the same chilli.

Is that so? It’s not spicy. It’s good and it has a chinese style taste. They had cooked this huge fish in a tandoor. We saw them make it with a huge stick. This is the river fish. It’s good, it doesn’t taste like the fresh water fish.

The smell of it feels like a sea fish. As they’ve cut the fish to add the masala, all the bites have that great taste. and it’s a fresh fish and it can easily feed 4 people. That’s this green biryani, is it gongura? Actually this is green mirchi.. right? Actually with this… this is red right? this is red mirchi and that’s green mirchi.

Green chilli chicken pulao. We’ll name it ourselves. Green chilli chicken pulao. I like it even better when I eat it with the egg. Yeah we can mix it together. Everyone loves the green chilli smell, it has that.

It’s also spicy but not too spicy. The smell of basmathi rice is also infused in it and it’s amazing. That green chilli smell is fantastic. This is the veg biryani? Yeah it’s veg. Brinjal. Oh nice.. that’s enough. That’s enough bro. Guys it’s the brinjal biryani, they fry it in oil and

then add masala and toss it before serving it with biryani. So vegetarians can eat this. This is one of the very few veg items I eat here. This one reminds me of kathirikai katta(Brinjal curry).

It’s neatly fried and then… It has that brinjal smell. And it’s superb when you mix it and eat. I really like the ennai kathirikai kuzhambu (Brinjal oil gravy) in our cuisine. That has a great brinjal smell.

This brings back those memories. Jolly. I think this chicken will be superb. This is tempting me. This one? This also tempts me. You also want a meal or you wanna try a different style biryani?

Shall I ask them to bring another meal? No that’s fine, I’ll taste it. Okay that’s fine. Meals for you? Gosh no, I’m already full brother. Both are just sitting with me but I’m eating everything. They’re saying they’re already full. Everyone take a take a bite of that.

You can just keep it here, I’ll take it. -No problem for you right sir? -No problem. What’s that biryani? That’s ulavacharu chicken biryani. It’s nellore mutton biryani? Wow, it looks so good. Just give us the piece. They add bigger pieces back in our place, but everything here is small.

There’ll be more pieces. -But there’ll be more smaller pieces here. -Yeah. Don’t worry that I’m taking it from the next plate. I’m just borrowing it. When they make the dum only then it all goes in curry and we like it. because we are used to this kind of biryani, this is on another level.

We should eat more of this but.. As I’ve already eaten a lot, I’m eating less now. Take another piece. He read my mind! He himself said take it. Bro you also eat. Actually it has the flavour of our Jeera samba biryani. But it’s a little different and more spicy.

Definitely. This is the ‘rajugari bhojanam’ meaning King’s feast. and our restaurant’s name is Vivaha Bhojanam which means wedding feast. The kalyana sappadu(wedding food) or like a wedding feast. So similarly it’s the rajugari bhojanam.

It’s like a king’s feast it has a lot of varieties and it keep coming constantly. They’ll bring more as you eat. This is unlimited or limited? It’s limited, okay. Brother is like…. They’re serving me everything..

He’ll be thinking the beside me is eating from my plate. No, you’re the guest here. My restaurant is his restaurant, so you’re our guest. You’re biting the chicken. Yeah we’ll bite it. Gnanavel Raja sir is co-host on my behalf. You’re the guest today.

Take a big bite. Let’s do it? -Yeah. Show it to them once in your style. You can see how beautifully it’s cooked. Wait I’ll move the rice aside. This piece will definitely taste great. Don’t know how the masala will taste.

Let’s take that bite. With the tangy taste.. wow! Only now I feel like I’m making my video. It’s ultimate. The chicken is superbly cooked inside. Fantastic. That’s why I said you should definitely try this before you go to meals.

This is the biryani made with horse gram and there’s another avakaya biryani, taste that too. Okay superb. I generally a foodie. Is that so? -I usually eat more. I was making fun of him. Really? I became really fat suddenly.

Brother call me and I also went, We’ll always be here chilling. Okay… and when he saw he, he was like you don’t look like a hero. I was like “Bro, what are you talking about?” and then I started reducing weight and now I’ve lost 18 kgs. I could see he’s slimmed down after the film.

But that film needed that. Yeah. That was a necessity for the film because even the characterization was mass. That’s fine for telugu because they’ve seen me more. but no one had seen me back then in tamil.

So when a fresh actor had to make that character convincing, we needed something. I got 7kgs heavier for that film. and cut my hair. Guys we’re talking about managaram, I hope you guys can know it. Oh another leg piece. This is that avaka thing right? -Yeah.

Then can we call it a pickle chicken? look how beautiful the chicken is. Such a beautiful chicken, bro we’ll take the bite at the same time. Let’s see who takes a bigger bite? Let’s go! -Cheers. -Cheers.

Wow! Avaka chicken biryani. Those taste buds.. When we go to a certain restaurants.. It will be a similar masala. It will be the same for fish and chicken. All the 7-8 items that we tasted is totally different. None of the masalas here will be similar.

You guys know the avaka pickle right? It’s the masala from that pickle. and chicken with it. So just Imagine.. -This is the chicken biryani. All these are pulao because biryani is something we got from outside. Pulao is actually our term for biryani.

So all these are biryani. So avaka biryani and brother said the horse gram biryani.. What’s it called in tamil? Kollu Yeah the biryani made with kollu. I finished the second leg. Bro what are you doing? You haven’t even taken a proper bite.

Now it’s your meal time, it’s what you’ve been waiting for.My entire mouth is filled with the taste of that pickle.. I mean the avaka. When I say pickle don’t assume it’s just the pickle, It just has that similarity. and it’s burning when I do this. Bro you’ll also take some.. you’ll take.. because he said he won’t eat.

Guys this even has chapati in it, so if you’re in diet you can also eat chapati. But I’m not in diet so I’m not eating the chapati. I’ll just go with rice and there’s also vada. There’s payasam and the rice is really hot. This pappu looks really good and it’s hot.

Andhra style pappu. It’s burning my hands.. This is the special Andhra powder.It’s the flax seed powder? They eat flax seed because it’s good for health right? They even have that too, nice. Yeah gongura.. that will be tangy right? you don’t like pappu?

You’re being careful. Take some rice. It’s sweet and it’s also a little tangy. I really like the pappu which are the lentils. It will taste great with some ghee and yesterday I had this with pickle. So you can eat it like that. But now its just this. Why pappu seems so great to me? It’s also hot.

I feel weird when both are just watching me without eating. This is nellore.. nellore chepala pulusu Chepala pulusu meaning fish broth. It has a great color. Bro you also eat please. That’s a boon.

When you eat the food that you like it’s a boon Yeah definitely. Not everyone gets that. Actually I like watching people eat. I really like making people eat. It’s on another level, the fish broth. I was stunned by this, I’m sorry.

He was saying something but the fish broth is fantastic. Wow! GOD! I’m full now, why can’t I eat more now? I really like the meals bro. and tasting each broth and all that. so.. and this fish broth is superb!

All the spices make you go crazy for it and the smell of that fish is amazing. Awesome! -What’s this fish? -It’s river fish. The Salmon fish really taste superb. It’s really tasty. I’m going to eat what bro liked. Now he’ll definitely take one.

Mutton? Even my favourite is the mutton. Look how red it is. He has such a big leaf but he’s just eating a spoon of payasam. OMG We made you conscious I guess. Nothing conscious whatsoever, it’s on another level.

Oh My God! this mutton curry is awesome. Telangana mutton curry is the best mutton curry. These are the proper Andhra style mixing of spices. Wow! it’s something else! Both the fish broth and mutton broth were fantastic. There’s also prawn. The problem is I decently speak both telugu and tamil.

But I don’t speak specific words. He standing there asking me to describe it like this… But I don’t even understand that in telugu, how can I translate it to tamil? You get it? -Yeah definitely, that happens.

I’ll only eat well and they cook well. I love the prawn masala more than the prawn. It’s a concentrated masala like it burns your tongue, but it’s awesome, it’s wonderful. What’s this then? Bhimavaram style chicken fry. -Bhimavaram is another town? -Yeah another town.

They have a dish for all the towns in Andhra. They spices and cooking style is very different. Bhimavaram district people are famous for eating more. Like when I go to shoot near rajahmundry side, In each house they’ll make atleast 2 non-veg dishes a day.

If you just funnily knock on a door for food, they’ll definitely feed you and you’ll have 2 non-veg items at least. That’s the Bhimavaram place. That’s how Bhimavaram, rajahmundry and kakinada are. That’s where we’re looking for a bride for him.

If you want we’ll look at the cook’s there, why do we need the girls? We’ll look at the cooks. We’re talking about food. You say there’s 2 minimum non-veg items, so.. He’s getting scared. Yeah he’s talking crazy. Guys everything on this, I promise you, you’ll love it!

This meals is enough. My tongue is burning up. The masalas are great and the chicken masala was ultimate. I’ve had my eye on the egg for a long time. I’ve had my eye on the egg since they’ve cooking it downstairs.

Look at the masala in this.. what’s the name of this sir? Karam egg vepudu(Spicy egg fry) Karam? Egg vepudu It was already spicy even when they didn’t mention spicy. Now they’ve said this is spicy…That’s fine, I definitely need to eat this egg. Even my head is burning up.

I taste more tomatoes in this but it’s also spicy. It’s spicy but I can’t stop eating this. because when you eat spicy food, you feel you want to eat more. and then you can’t talk like this. You’ll also stop talking. It’s ultimate.

You really like spicy food? I like it but I can’t eat it a lot. This rasam is a little sweet too, it’s good. But if you buy this meals you’ll go home very happily. Is that the spicy egg? Spicy egg and everything.. The curd looks great but I’ll end this with the payasam.

No curd is the necessity for you now. Yeah you’ll definitely need curd to balance out these spices. They’ll never let me go. But what they’re saying is correct. You saw this curd? That’s it, we can eat now.

All his fans are waiting for him but as we’re in shoot, bro couldn’t go now. I can’t. The curd rice calms you down. Wow! There’s also another sweet. This is my full day meal. It would have been superb if it was more cold. It has that palkova flavour they’ve boiled it very thickly I guess.

They’ve made it with rice, what do you call it? sakkarai pongal? You call this sakkarai pongal? This is sakkarai pongal from our state. It’s good. This is made with a special milk, I don’t remember the name, you eat you’ll know. You also eat, you can eat at least this.

This looks like that… custard. Not sure. Try it, it tastes nothing like custard. Even this is Andhra special, it’s called Junnu. Junnu! When I came to Hyderabad only one shop was selling this. and when we made this restaurant, I told them we definitely need to have this.

Even all the sweets are made here. It’s a great milk. Try a bite of that. This has the consistency like the otapalam dish. It has the smell of cardamom. It good, it’s subtle and is sweet, it will calm you after the meal, it’s good. and you’ll be really happy to eat that after a meal like this.

It’s guava chopped up. It’s guava fruit? -Yeah. Wow! I was searching a lot for that name and you simply said it’s guava fruit. He’s telling me telugu and he’s translating in hindi and english.

after coming back listening to all them…. I am the subtitle for this show. Guys the consistency of this is on another level, you aren’t eating it? Get one for bro. You also eat. This will taste great. He’s scared.

Even this is made here. The sweet is a little less but it’s still heavy, it’s layered, can you see it? You can call it the Indian styled mousse. Like the custard, cream and all that. This will taste great with ice cream.

I like to eat it with the ice cream. This slightly has the smell like a baked confectionery items. The bottom is like a cake.. Bro you please try it.. -breadcrumbs. It’s called Jamun delight.

The consistency is really different, it’s like… Kijik kijik. You’re thinking what’s ‘kijik kijik’, don’t overthink it. Kijik kijik means kijik kijik. You’ll know what’s kijik kijik when you eat it. Superb. There’s another thing I want to mention about the restaurant. About yadagiri brother and everyone that works here

and my partners ravi, amith and yadagiri. From the past one and half year, we give away 100 packets of food everyday in lunch time.

So if someone wants food.. It may not be as lavish as this. But we give them a reasonably what they need.. so if someone is on road and they’re hungry.

The idea of this came when I saw a few assistant directors during the break. So I told them if someone is hungry go to the restaurants and show your assistant director card and take the food.

We started there and we’ve been doing it consistently for a pretty long time. We do this in all our 5 branches. and this is my first food review or any interview that I’ve done in this restaurant.

Usually I don’t come here, this is the my first time doing something like this. So I thought I have to use this opportunity to thank my team and congratulate them for pulling this off.

Very nice Just think about it, feeding so many people for one and half year, gives me immense satisfaction. Definitely, that’s a very good thing. This is something great because not everyone does it, actually it’s rare.

I’m blessed because I had an idea but all my partners came forward to make that come true. I thought I should take this opportunity to thank them for it. That’s nice. Giving food for the hungry seems like a great thing to me.

because I believe feeding someone is the most important thing. When you feed a hungry person, you’re on another level. The fact that they’re doing that everyday and feeding 100 people, is a superb thing. Amazing bro. Thank you but you should thank my team here.

Superb. Because Imagine cooking for 100 more people everyday. They’re cooking anyway but it needs more effort right. Definitely yeah, that’s very nice. So I’m really proud of my team. Awesome bro.

So guys we’ve finished eating here and I couldn’t eat like I usually eat because they were beside me.

I was a little conscious about what they would think.. But when the meals came I just forgot all that because that meals was on another level. All their biryani and other dishes had a connection to something I had eaten before.

But the meals at the last was one of kind. If you’re in Hyderabad and if you want to taste the Andhra meals.. It has that tanginess.. not too tangy.. but it’s spicy and ..

Holy moly! with a umami flavour and everything, so if you want to taste something like that, you can definitely try this place. and with that payasam at the end was superb. and everything was good but I missed that vada. I just remembered that but it’s okay we’ll eat that next time we’re here.

Just imagine eating the meals alone, after eating all the other food, the meals tasted great. I’m salivating when I talk about the meals. When it’s so tempting even after I ate it, it’s a very damn good food guys.

They have soo many chefs here and everyone is working so fast here. and there’s lots of crowd here, we came here early but people are waiting outside in queue to eat this food, that’s how good it is.
